While hiking in the 20 Lakes Basin in the high Sierra just outside Yosemite, I had to paint this. I'm not sure of the Lake's names, just of their beauty. The color of the high country lakes in this area are like turquoise jewels, and take your breath away visually, as well as physically if you take a dip on a hot summer day.
