Beylerbei from the Bosphorus

This was sketched from the deck of a ferry along the famous Bosphorus Straits in Istanbul. The weather was a tad chilly, so the coloring took place later in the comfort of forced-air heating. Nonetheless amazing to record this ancient coastline in a country that has evolved over 8000 years! Ink and watercolor on 300gsm cold-pressed paper in a bound watercolor sketchbook.
