Inspired by a plein air study and completed in the studio, this is a depiction of the sheer power and yet surprising elegance of these gentle giants. Prince, the near horse and the younger of the two, was much more interested in what I was up to. For King, his inseparable companion, it was business as usual on this spring morning.
