Lake Woodruff Thistles

This is a wildlife refuge near my home where I have spent a lot of time enjoying the natural Florida scenery. I prepped the canvas with super heavy gesso and lightly toned it with water mixable oil paint. I continued to use the water mixables until the final layer when I switched to traditional oil paint.
