At an intersection in Richmond, Virginia there's a statue to Bill "Bojangles" Robinson of Shirley Temple movie fame. Though he died penniless, at the height of his career he paid for a stoplight at a dangerous intersection where kids often played in a poorer section of town. This statue was erected in his honor. I chose to paint it at night with the red glow of a stoplight on his backside and moonlight sparkling down on his frontside as he dances and "trips the light fantastic"!
