New construction in Austin is everywhere. Old neighborhood homes are sometimes demolished, and at other times, the sleek new high rise projects are built around them. I came upon this beautiful burr oak acorn lying on a sheet of plywood brilliant in the neighborhood sunshine with construction sounds all around. It seemed like I was seeing the life cycle of this baby oak in a still life created by happenstance.
