I experienced the moment this large bison approached on a cold winter day in Yellowstone National Park. His demeanor and his steady pace indicated that he was not expecting to yield to anything or anyone! Although the format for this piece is smaller I hoped to capture the feeling of being in the path of such a force. I angled the snow bank behind the bison to add some tension and instability to the composition.
